Javier Sagrera kicks off the Eurocup-3 season with Palou Motorsport
Sagrera faces a new challenge in this competition, on a track he knows well as it was part of the British calendar, and he does it with Álex Palou's team.
After a long wait, Javier Sagrera finally begins his European season in the new competition, the Eurocup-3. At just 19 years old and with two years of experience in British Formula 3, Sagrera returns home with the strong purpose of showcasing his talent and ambition in the world of racing.
The Eurocup-3 is a newly created competition to replace what was formerly the European F3 and provide an opportunity for many talented drivers looking to advance in their professional careers. The championship kicks off this weekend at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, one of the most challenging in the world of motorsport. With a length of 7.004 kilometers and a total of 20 corners, it is a track known for its unpredictability due to changing weather conditions, which can affect the race results.
After achieving several podium finishes in England, Sagrera seeks to demonstrate his abilities in Europe, facing this new challenge with the Palou Motorsport team, led by the successful Spanish driver, Álex Palou.
"I am very excited to start the season, especially at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit, which I already know from my two years competing in British F3. I believe we are well-prepared, thanks to the great work we have done with the team and engineers. Moreover, I am fortunate to be able to prepare for the races with Álex, who, with his experience, can provide valuable advice in critical moments like qualifications and races. This circuit has many straights and requires keeping the car under control at all times, but I feel that we are ready for the challenge, thanks to the effort of the whole team. I am very happy to start at this legendary circuit and I trust that everything will go well."
This Friday, the qualifying session and the first race take place, which can be followed through live timing and streaming on the Eurocup-3 website.
